The Daily Times – May 11, 1912

Benoni C. Dawson, aged 72, a former well known resident of Beaver county, died Saturday at his home, 5628 Broad street, North Side, Pittsburgh. He was a Civil War veteran, a member of Company F, Tenth Pennsylvania Reserves. He is survived by his wife and one son, James P. Dawson, of Pittsburgh. Mrs. W.F. Lyon, of Rochester, is a sister of the deceased. A strange co-incident in connection with Mr. Dawson’s death is that he died on his wife’s birthday anniversary and will be buried on his own birthday anniversary. The funeral services will be conducted at the resident at 8 o’clock this evening. Interment will be made Tuesday at 11 o’clock, in Uniondale cemetery, North Side, Pittsburgh.
