Graham, William A.PrivateAugust 1, 1861Enlisted in Company H, 1st Pennsylvania Reserves on August 27th, 1861 at Tennallytown, Virginia at the age of 18. He served with the Company until he was wounded and taken prisoner at Charles City Crossroads on June 30th, 1862. He was released from captivity on July 19th and forwarded to the state of New York via steamer, reaching the latter place on the 23rd. After recovering from his wounds (right hand, left thigh, gunshot wound) he rejoined his company. He again was wounded on May 10th, 1864 at Spotsylvania Court House. He returned after recovering from his wounds and re-enlisted with the majority of his regiment in the 190th Pennsylvania Veteran Volunteers. Read Letter published in the Advocate & Press, Perry County, Pa., dated July 4, 1862, and letter dated August 10, 1862.
